Just Dance

No, I'm not talking about Lady Gaga's song that made her so famous (ick), but rather, the game Just Dance for the Wii.

Mitch was pouting because he had to shave his face that night. He literally looked like a Chia Pet because he hadn't shaved in two weeks!

Tuesday was Mitchell's last day of leave from Iraq, so we got the whole family together (except for Carl and my sister's husband Shaun - they both had to work) and had pizza, played games and played Just Dance.

One word:  HILARIOUS!!!

See for yourself :)

We love you Mitch and can't wait for you to get back!

When Mitch comes back in September, he will be able to meet his new nephew!!! YAY!!! September can't come fast enough! :)

St. George!

We're in St. George!!! By we, I mean my brother Mitchell and me! We left late last night and got here early this morning. It's been so fun to see Dad and my Grandma! We went climbing up to the "craggle" as my dad likes to call it. Lots of red rocks and dirt everywhere....LOVE it!!! It's been so nice here - the weather is amazing - 81 degrees today so far! It's nice to get some warm desert sunshine...We were going to take photos at the "craggle", but Dad forgot his memory card, and my camera had dead batteries. Maybe on the way back home, we'll stop and hike it again... :)

Broken

Well, the sun is shining, the grass is green and life is pretty darn good. I had to work yesterday (Sunday) at 12:30. Well, Mitch had to be in Pocatello for his unit assignment and some other junk that I didn't pay attention to. Ordinarily, this wouldn't be a problem since we both own our own cars. Well, Mitchell's is broken. I don't mean sorta broken, and you could maybe get away with driving it, it's B-R-O-K-E-N! Since Mitch had the farthest distance to go, I, being the most AWESOME sister ever, let him borrow my car to take to Poky. I was going to find a ride to work. Well, by the time I thought about asking my co-workers for a ride, it was too late. You guessed it. I took Mitch's broken car to work.

Now, this car is a 1992 Subaru. It's definately seen better days. Last week, the alternator caught on fire. He replaced it, and the car was working again! Then, as he was taking it on its maiden voyage, it started knocking really badly. REALLY BADLY! So, he's been my taxi while I have been working and he's been rolling around town in my purple car. ;)

Anyways, back to Sunday... I start the car up and I'm thinking "please car - just get me to work!" I put it in reverse and it backs up quite nicely. Then the fun started. I put it in drive and pushed on the gas, and the car wasn't even coasting! It just kind of crawled forward. I'm thinking that I'm gonna be late...well, I decided to push on.

The car ride to work was hysterical! I was laughing the whole way! It was soooo ridiculously loud and the knocking wasn't getting any better...the engine died 2 times on the way to work and it was starting to smoke by the time I got to work. Oops. But, I made it to work on time!!! It was the best laugh of the week. Isn't it funny how something that could be so not funny to some people can actually be hilariously gut-busting to others?

Anyhow, we took Mitchell's car to the shop this morning and it needs a new motor. It's officially dead. But, Mitch and Shaun are going to pull the old motor out and put a new one in this week. Boys and their cars...ugh...

The End! Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather!!!!

The Countdown Begins...

Just under 4 weeks 'til my new roommate comes home. By roommate, I mean my baby brother. And by baby brother, I mean my almost 20 year old military brother.
Yep! Mitch is comin' home soon! It'll be so nice to have someone around to talk to. It's funny because I'm usually such a hermit...but it'll be nice to have him home. Plus, then he can help me with the utilities... ;)
Mitchell graduates from AIT in Maryland on March 27, and I believe he'll be home the same day! Hooray! It's great timing...as I'll be in West Valley, UT from March 8 through the 25. I'll have just enough time to turn his room pink like I promised. I'll be sure and post lots of photos!
An update on my back...I saw my doctor again today and we went over my MRI. I have a very LARGE and compressed herniated disk. Since I'm so young, even though a treatment could be surgery, we are going to go with a steroid shot in my back and decompression therapy. That should allow my disk to pop right back into place and it will relieve some of the intense pain that I have been having. Chiropractic adjustments are really helping with the pain also. So, next step - a VERY long needle.
